Dev Protocol team will develop a no-code DAO tool and data oracles for creators, and accelerate business development based in Switzerland.

We’re excited to announce that we have completed the final close of pre-series round A at the end of August. The funds raised in this round was 250 Mil yen, and the cumulative amount of capital-raising reached approximately 310 Mil yen.

Fundraising

In this round, while gmjp served as a lead investor, B Dash Ventures, SkyPerfecTV JSAT, rikka, and 01Booster Capital joined as new investors and partners. The funds raised this time will be mainly used for the development of Clubs, a no-code DAO tool, our Khaos Oracle, a tool to freely connect between Web2 and Web3, the expansion of our partner ecosystem, and finally acceleration of business development in Switzerland. Each of the development goals are equally important to the growth of Dev Protocol and we will strive to roll them out seamlessly in the coming months.

Business development

Since its start in 2018, Web3 infrastructure used in Dev Protocol such as DeFi, NFTs, token creation, and ownership authentication continue to evolve everyday. Creators have started their Web3 creator economy by tokenizing their own projects and incentivizing their followers to be part of a community.

While Dev Protocol provides creators with sustainable opportunities, our Khaos Oracle plays an important role behind the scenes. Khaos is a unique technology that connects with creators’ assets and securely authenticates them on public blockchain.This technology will give us infinite possibilities to realize the bridge among various platforms in Web2 and Web3.

Future prospects

In order to meet the diverse needs of the creator economy such as web3 and metaverse, we made an announcement of Clubs, a no-code DAO tool. Clubs has been very popular within our community as it will enable you to easily upgrade your community to web3 by letting you choose templates provided for creators, all with little to no technical knowledge. We believe that this will be one of our first major steps towards reaching a larger audience of creators to join the platform.

Team to accelerate global business

The Dev Protocol team has been expanding the management members in the areas of development, business, and governance since September this year. Within our Swiss subsidiary, we’re promoting global regulation compliance and the maintenance of governance. In the future, we’ll develop an ecosystem that supports a new business opportunity via web3 in a wide variety of industries while sharing technologies and ideas grown in Japan and Switzerland with our partners.

The business of Dev Protocol aims at realizing a society where all innovators and creators are valued and compensated for their work. One of our first realizations of the lack of funding for creators came from seeing the decline of traditional artisans working on cultural monuments within Japan. At the current decline, it is possible most of the knowledge these artisans have will be lost without a next generation to take up the reins. This led to the establishing of our company in 2015 and offering solutions to this problem continues to drive our ideology forward.

Achievements so far

Since August 2015, we have heard the disappointment from many creators who wish for the solutions for the challenges they faced. We believe with the insight of these creators we can solve many of their problems with web 3 and the use of public blockchains. MVP started for the open source community in 2018, and we received new financial support for OSS developers in the world after the launch of the main net in 2020. In addition, Dev Protocol team received a Northeast Asia OSS contribution award for its contribution to the OSS ecosystem in 2021. Until now we have organically been able to grow our users just from necessity and the number of participants in the developer community of Dev Protocol exceeds 500.
