Releasing Niwa and YouTube Market
For providing creators’ a better experience!
The Dev Protocol Team has released new Dapps to make good use of Dev Protocol in addition to stakes.social, called Niwa.
At the same time, Youtube Market that makes it possible to support Youtube channels will be released.
What is Niwa?
Niwa is a Dapp specially made to be used by creators by letting them mint and manage social tokens.
In the past, Stakes.social was used by:
Creators
- to mint and manage creator tokens
- for the authentication to the Market
- to stake creators and to withdraw staking rewards
- to customize URI of sTokens (NFT certificate for staking)
And Supporters
- to stake creators and to withdraw staking reward
but from now on, we can separate them like this:
- stakes.social → for supporters
- Niwa → mainly for creators
All the functions used only by creators will move from stakes.social to Niwa.(We’re planning to delete the functions used by creators at stakes.social.)
Thanks to the division of users, we can avoid the situation where UI becomes complex in accordance with the increase of functions onwards. It also encourages us to provide simple UX as we can control the flow line of each function necessary for creators and supporters.
Youtube Market
Creators are now able to tokenize their “channel” to organize their video lists that they broadcast on YouTube. We have Dapps specialized for creators such as m-zomia and Cobogo, and they would realize an opportunity to connect creators with great supporters.

Niwa’s URLs are as follows. Currently, only Beta version is in operation. We’re looking forward to hearing your feedbacks on Discord. After two weeks, we’ll have a release version. Please keep in mind that the URL for the release version is different from the Beta one.

What will Niwa change?
With convenient UX, many creators now feel it easier to mint social tokens and join DEV ecosystem.
As a future prospect, we’re planning to integrate with new platforms based on requirement from community members on Twitter and Discord, so as to make it possible for more DAO to make great use of tokens. The experience generated by such change will enhance users’ staking motivations and contribute to the further development of DEV’s creator economy.
