Hello Alyssa!

We’re proud to welcome Alyssa Harris to the Development Seed team. Alyssa is a cloud and data engineer, and holds degrees in economics, computer science, and mathematics. Among other things, she will work on improving software around OpenStreetMap and taking our cloud engineering work with NASA to the next level.

Alyssa loves working on hard technical problems with real-world implications. Before Development Seed, she worked at the Urban Institute, a local research-oriented nonprofit, where she ran analysis on large datasets and built user-facing tools, including one to customize tax scenarios.

Alyssa loves games and puzzles, and likes to think of her job as getting to solve puzzles every day — with larger impact than the jigsaw variety.
