We are stoked to bring Renee onboard to Development Seed! She joins the team as a Technical Project Manager and will manage project deliverables and milestones internally and externally with our partners. Renee will support our larger partnerships with groups like NASA, by bringing excellent communication and guidance to initiatives such as distributing large commercial datasets. She will also strengthen Development Seed’s internal processes for how we handle resource management more effectively.

Renee brings deep geospatial industry knowledge and long-standing familiarity with Development Seed’s projects and values. While previously working with the U. S. Geological Survey (USGS) Earth Resources Observation and Science Center (EROS), Renee was instrumental in publishing Landsat to the cloud. She is also a SpatioTemporal Asset Catalog (STAC) expert, supporting the development of the STAC implementation for Landsat.

Outside of work, Renee enjoys exploring her home state of Minnesota or being outside in her garden. She has two cats, Ramona and Oliver, who keep her entertained at home. Fun fact! Renee studied history and geography during undergrad and had every intention of becoming a social studies teacher, but an internship at a museum pushed her toward attending library school instead.

Join us in welcoming Renee to the team and say hey to her on Twitter or GitHub!
