Getting Started with dex.blue

Tutorial: How to connect, deposit and do your first trade.

dex.blue is a decentralized exchange that delivers the best non-custodial crypto trading: liquid, fast and uncompromisingly secure.

Follow this quick-start guide to connect your wallet, deposit and place your first limit order on dex.blue!

1. Connect Wallet

1. In the top-right corner of the trading interface click “Connect Wallet” and confirm the MetaMask connection request.
2. Select your address in the drop-down menu and sign the signature request in MetaMask to prove the ownership of your address.

2. Deposit Funds

Depositing DAI in the dex.blue smart contract

1. In the Your Balance section on the left, click the green “Deposit” button.
2. Select the token you want to deposit from the drop-down menu.
   (If you are depositing a token for the first time click “Activate” and sign the transaction.)
3. Enter the Deposit Amount, click the blue “Deposit” button and sign the transaction.

Your funds will be available for trading as soon as the transaction is confirmed on the blockchain.

3. Place a Limit Order

A limit order in the ETH/DAI-market to BUY 0.5 ETH at a rate of 187,16 DAI.

1. In the Markets section on the left, select the pair you want to trade (e.g. ETH/DAI).
2. In the New Order section below, select the green BUY button if you want to execute a BUY order (red for SELL). After selecting the Order Type (e.g. Limit Order), pick the rate and the amount that you want to trade. Use the blue slide-bar to granularly control the amount you are trading.
3. Click the blue Place Order button below to submit your order and sign the transaction.
