Many gaming applications require randomness in smart contract executions, but the distributed ledger technology itself cannot generate unbiased randomness. To solve this issue, DEXON adopts state-of-the-art DKG (distributed key generation) and threshold signature technology to generate an unbiased random seed serving as a random oracle in the DEXON smart contract execution environment.

To simply put it, DEXON can generate on-chain random numbers that can not be predicted beforehand — an important feature that other popular blockchain systems don’t even have. This is one of the features that is uniquely DEXON and we want to showcase this strength to you through a fun and rewarding lottery.

DXN Power Lottery campaign schedule:

Duration: April 18–25, 2019
Bet collection time: Starts at 12:00 (UTC+8) April 18. New bets for the next round can be placed after each draw.
Draw schedule: The first draw will be at 15:00 (UTC+8) April 18. The draw for each round will be 3 hours after the previous one, until the last draw on April 25 12:00 (UTC+8). See the time table below for the full campaign schedule.
Total number of rounds: 56

Rewards:

The total reward pool is 84,000 DXN for the entire campaign duration.
1,500 DXN is to be given away for each round in the entire campaign duration.
If there are multiple winners in a round, the prize will be divided among the winners.
If there are no winners in a round, the prize will accumulate to the next round until a winning number is drawn from the lottery.
If there are remaining rewards once the campaign ends, the prize will be returned to DEXON Foundation.

Mechanics:

A. How to place your picks:

Choose a number between 0–999.
Only whole number digits (integers) will count (no decimal points, no spelled-out numbers, no fractions, etc.).
Once you have decided on your lucky number, you MUST private message the DEXON Power Lottery bot: @dxn_lottery_bot. And then place your bet by typing /bet NUMBER on DEXON’s public Telegram group (https://t.me/dexon_foundation). We will announce once the bot is added to group and is ready to accept your bets. Stay tuned!
Type /help in the group for a list of commands from the bot to show:

/bet NUMBER: bet on the current round (ex. /bet 123)
/my_bets: show my bet history
/jackpot: show current jackpot
/all_jackpots: show jackpot history

Bets placed via private messaging the bot will not count.
Only one guess will count per participant every round (subject to the last guess before every round ends).
You can change your bet before the draw starts. Remember, the last bet you placed before the draw will count as your entry for that round.

B. How the draw works:

The lottery is streamed at http://bit.ly/2Uj0BwV, so you can always check the latest winning number there.
The lucky number draw for each round will be shown on the livestream.
Once the winning number has been drawn, the DEXON Power Lottery Telegram bot will announce the winners in the group and the next round’s prize.
Similar procedures will be followed for every round of the campaign.

C. How to claim your prize:

The DEXON Power Lottery Telegram bot will announce the winners in the group and the next round’s prize. So if you won, you will be tagged.
The DEXON Team will contact the winners via the Telegram bot @dxn_lottery_bot by April 30, and the winners must further provide their DEXON Wallet address in a week. If the winners fail to provide their wallet address by May 8, they will be disqualified for the prize.
The prizes will be distributed before May 17.
