As we look back on our journey in the ever-evolving world of DeFi, we’re humbled by the support and feedback from our community. Today marks a significant milestone as we unveil the Dezy Builder, a tool designed to revolutionise your DeFi experience.

DeFi “money legos” is an exciting idea but what if composability was as easy as point and click?

It has been thrilling to engage with so many of you throughout 2023 to learn more about your DeFi wants and needs as we released basic yield strategies, swap functions and on-chain dollar cost averaging. Through consistent feedback and engagement from all of you, we’ve refined and enhanced our offering, leading to this pivotal moment.

Dezy Builder is officially here to put “money legos” into your hands!

What does that mean? How does it impact you? Where do we go from here? Let’s dive in.

What is Builder?

DeFi has scaled from a science experiment to an ecosystem with thousands of different protocols across a multitude of L1s and L2s, supporting billions of dollars in value across them.

That is mind blowing! It is also incredibly difficult to navigate.

Dezy Builder is the simplification of DeFi. Through a single interface you’re able to:

• Access your favourite protocols and discover new ones
• Combine them into different transaction flows and strategies
• Execute your creations and bundle transactions a single authorisation
• Share your creations with others and earn additional fees

Save time and save money without jumping across multiple protocol interfaces.

Also important to remember that your funds are still going exactly where you want them to be. Dezy is not a “vault”; Dezy is a conduit to help you navigate DeFi.

How does it work?

Nothing quite like a hands-on demonstration. Let’s take a look at a flow that you could build today through Builder!

Step 1:

Access the Builder and select your first protocol to build with from the left hand panel.

For this example, we’ll select Lido as our first block.

Step 2:

After selecting Lido, you’ll be prompted with the Lido building block where you will need to select a few options from the drop down menu.

Let’s stake some ETH so that we can receive wstETH. Make your selections and click Save before moving onto the next block in our flow.

Step 3:

After your Lido block saves, you’ll then be able to select the next block in your flow from the left hand panel.

Let’s take that wstETH we got from the first block and and deposit it into Aave. Select the Aave protocol and lets build!

Step 4:

After saving each of the previous blocks you’ll notice that the Key Strategy Info panel on the right updates with your estimated APY and other important details regarding your strategy.

You could stop here and generate yield on your ETH deposit into Lido as well as your wstETH deposit into Aave but let’s keep going.

How about we borrow some USDC against the wstETH we deposited into Aave?

Select the Aave protocol again and let’s keep building!

Step 5:

What should we do with our borrowed USDC? How about putting it to work in Gearbox?

Putting your USDC to work as the final building block

Hit Save and you’ve just built yourself a strategy flow that will generate an estimated 8.66% in APY taking into account your interest payments on your borrowed USDC and the rewards on your ETH, wstETH and USDC deposits.

Done building. Now what? Now you execute, share to earn fees or both!

After hitting Save on your last block, head on to Publish you’ll be prompted to add in some final details on your creation to make it truly your own. Give it a catchy name and a helpful description to anyone who might stumble on your strategy.

From there you’ll be able to find your strategy under “My Strategies” from the Explore page and track its progress from your Builder dashboard.

Looking to earn some fees? Dezy charges a transaction fee at the point of deposit and 75% of those fees will be claimable by you as the strategy creator. Find your strategy under “My Strategies” from the Explore page and share that link with others directly or through social media!
