We have been involved in a complex yet important task the past few months- our wallet’s redesign. It all started with the desire to develop a flawless user experience that would complement the functionality.

Finally, we have released the newly redesigned wallet, and we are glad to share it with you in a short walk-through.

Renewed Wallet and How to Use it

We have put a lot of effort into improving our wallet’s UI/UX design and making the user experience as comfortable as possible. The functionality has remained the same but is now presented in a more logical way.

We created more than 200 frames to make it possible.

Overall, the renewed wallet contains the maximum necessary functionality and less unnecessary information that might distract users from their goal.

-Dashboard

The Dashboard is the first page users see when opening the Dfinance Wallet. Here, you can perform and track all your manipulations with cryptocurrencies.

At the top of the page, you can see your up-to-date total balance and the wallet address, which can be easily copied. Below this block, you can find the information about your transactions, as well as all the latest actions performed with staking and proposals.

Here you can add more test tokens to your balance by clicking Request tokens.

On the same page, you can find the Send button. For now, you can only use it to send test currencies within the network. After clicking the Send button, you will see several fields, including the recipient’s wallet address. Everything is clear and simple.

If you click the menu button in the top left, you will find two other tabs (apart from the Dashboard) — Staking and Proposals. These tabs will allow you to take part in network staking and track local proposals respectively.

Let’s take a closer look at each of the tabs.

Staking

Here, you can easily monitor two of your balances — the total amount of cryptocurrency you have staked and the amount of staking reward. There are also two tabs below on the same page — Delegated and All Validators.

The Delegated tab shows all necessary details about the nodes, the delegated amount of SXFI, rewards, bank amount, and current status.

The All Validators tab showcases all nodes on the network, the number of delegators that joined these nodes, and up-to-date status. Also, there is a convenient calculation of the voting power and commission that nodes get from each transaction.

Proposals

In the Proposals tab, you can submit a software upgrade proposal or vote for existing ones. This allows any member of the community to introduce software improvements and contribute to the much bigger picture of the network.

In this panel, you can also see the status of existing proposals (passed, rejected, voting period, deposit period), duration of consideration of the proposal, as well as the amount of the reward.

Dfinance: Never stop improving

The main goal of this update was to simplify the wallet design, bringing the focus to the convenience and transparency of your work with cryptocurrency. We hope that our efforts won’t be in vain, and you will enjoy the new look of the Dfinance Wallet.

We’ve already released the updated redesigned version of the wallet, so you can try it right now. Just sign in and check it out yourself!

In the meantime, we are continuing to improve Dfinance, so stay tuned for more news!

*Please note, the Mainnet is in the beta stage.
