“100% Made in Italy” Brand to Leverage the Internet Computer Protocol
The DFINITY Foundation has partnered with FEDERITALY, the organization behind the “FEDERITALY 100% Made in Italy” brand.
FEDERITALY is a non-profit organization that promotes and protects Italian entrepreneurship around the world. The DFINITY Foundation and FEDERITALY have partnered together to develop a FEDERITALY Dapp that will be used to enhance the services offered by FEDERITALY.
FEDERITALY works with over 7,000 companies, associations, foundations, cooperatives and professionals of all sizes and in all verticals. This international organization is present in all Italian regions and has offices in 20 countries around the world. Companies registered with FEDERITALY will now be able to benefit from the speed, security and transparency of the Internet Computer blockchain through the FEDERITALY Dapp.

The FEDERITALY Dapp will allow a producer to apply for the “FEDERITALY 100% Made in Italy’’ label — producers will be awarded this label only after an extensive audit by FEDERITALY. Once the audit is complete and the label is awarded to the producer, a certificate is created on the Internet Computer blockchain. The product is given a QR code that corresponds to this certificate. The consumer can then scan the QR code on the product and retrieve the certificate from the Internet Computer blockchain. The certificate includes information about the product, its producer, the manufacturing process, material details and certification process.
Trust and Transparency
The benefit of FEDERITALY implementing the Internet Computer blockchain into its verification service means that it removes the need for consumers to put their trust in any third party and improves transparency. Consumers no longer have to rely on a service running on centralized cloud services which often experience down time.
