Applications are open for an event that will spotlight noteworthy projects and offer direct developer support.

Now that we’re giving third-party developers early access to the Internet Computer, we’re excited to engage this growing community as we work to enhance the creative capacity of the web. To spotlight some of the noteworthy projects being built and offer them direct developer support, we’re organizing a special event: Tungsten Demo Day.

Applications are open for the event, which will take place on Thursday, Sept. 17. It will showcase 10 of the best projects from teams that have onboarded to our Tungsten Developer Network.

The 10 teams selected for Demo Day will present to a judging panel that includes DFINITY founder & chief scientist Dominic Williams, Beacon Fund lead Artia Moghbel, engineering manager Stanley Jones, and Alexa Smith, who manages DFINITY’s developer partner program. Each team will receive hands-on feedback from our world-class R&D staff, unparalleled access to resources within our network, and admittance to a growing community of top-tier founders building on the Internet Computer.

One team among the Demo Day participants will be awarded the following prizes:

  • Your choice of a legal, design, or engineering service provided by the DFINITY network to help accelerate your project.
  • A 1:1 pitch-coaching session with our Beacon Fund.
  • A product feature during the upcoming Sodium launch event on Sept. 30, which will be streamed to an audience of thousands.

How to Participate

To be selected for Tungsten Demo Day, you will first need access to the Tungsten Developer Network, which allows developers to build, deploy, and test their apps on the Internet Computer. Click here to get started.

Teams can then submit a Demo Day application for their app or project to be featured. Applications will close at 11:59 PM PT on Friday, Sept. 4, and the selected teams will be notified the following week.

Developers will prepare a five-minute presentation to demonstrate their work. A two-minute Q&A round with our judging panel will follow.
