So, you’ve heard all about the epic dHEDGE V2 debut trading competition on Polygon. In this post, we’ll dive into how the prize is being awarded and distributed. The value proposition for investors is unique and is skewed to favor those that invested earlier in the competition.

First $50k

  • Awarded to winning pools at the end of the competition
  • Winning pools are the top 5 pools. All top 5 pools will have equal weight. Investing in 1st place will result in the same award if the same amount was invested in 5th place.
  • The winnings are awarded by the amount invested over each day of the 30 days. This means, $1.66k will be split between investors each day, based on how much they had invested that day in any of the 5 winning pools.

Example scenario:

If on day one, 5 people are invested with $1k each, they get an equal split of $1.66k added to their total award. If on day two, 10 people are invested with $2k each, they get an equal split of $1.66k added to their total award.

If on day three, 20 people are invested with $5k ($100k total), but one person has invested $100k, that one person gets half of the 1.66k added to their total reward, while the remaining 20 share the remaining $833 for that day.

This means, earlier investors receive a higher share of the first $50k than later investors. And participants who invest the highest amounts receive the most share of the $50k than investors who invest less.

Rewards are for investors only. If you manage one of the top pools but don’t invest in your own pool, even if your pool is a winner, you won’t receive a share of the award.

Second $50k

The 2nd 50k is vested for 2 months and awarded to investors still invested in their winning pool.

If an investor withdraws from their winning pool, they are no longer are eligible to receive this vested payment associated with that pool.

Anything that remains from those who lost their share will get distributed to everyone else still invested.
