Integration with Moonbeam
We are excited to announce that Moonbeam’s Polkadot parachain will be integrated with DIA’s open-source-price oracles to enable easy DApps developments on the network.
Moonbeam is an Ethereum-compatible smart contract platform on the Polkadot network that makes it easy to build natively interoperable applications. Moonbeam’s powerful Ethereum compatibility allows developers to deploy existing Solidity smart contracts and DApp frontends to Polkadot with minimal changes.
Moonbeam will also be a parachain on the Polkadot network. Hence, it will share the secure infrastructure from the Polkadot relay chain. Once live, it will provide the capabilities to natively access users and assets on other Polkadot-connected chains.
DIA’s trusted oracles are now live on Moonbase Alpha, Moonbeam’s TestNet, feeding the network with data of crypto and traditional financial assets. This integration will enable DApp developers to easily build applications on the network with multi-sourced and verified data.
So far, the DIA oracles support two data categories. The first one consists of crypto price data for tokens such as the native Polkadot Token $DOT as well as Bitcoin, Ethereum or Tether, to name a few. The second category consists of farming pool data for assets such as yearn.finance or Barnbridge Protocol.
The technicalities of the integration can be found in the GitHub repository here.
Through the integration, DIA will commit to continue bringing the latest market data through the updates on the oracle, being these updates also reflected in the Moonbeam Network.
This way, the DIA technology will contribute to the development of the parachain and will enable Moonbeam developers to integrate updated and reliable market data into the products built on the network.
Nate Hamilton, Director of Business Development at Moonbeam says:
“Our goal is to offer the best developer experience on Polkadot. One of the ways we do this is by providing the richest and most complete set of integrations. Reliable off-chain data is a key component for projects building on Moonbeam. We’re excited for DIA Data’s integration of their oracle service, which now allows developers to directly use their open-source, validated data streams.”
Michael Weber, Co-Founder and President of the DIA Association adds:
“We are very excited to kick off this integration and make reliable market data more accessible and user friendly to DApps developers through Moonbeam’s parahain network. As the development of Moonbeam continues, so will the DIA oracle, making new assets’ data available in the blockchain.”
