Times of Great Change: The New Universe

The old one is broken and blocks us from working together

Almost everyone alive today lives in the same, modern, scientific universe. This universe has been the model for over two hundred years of social and cultural evolution and the greatest achievements in our species history. These achievements have given us, though still problematically, the first hope of well being and relative prosperity for all of our people.

But this, also, is a major cause of 21st century anxiety, confusion, anger and planetary disaster. The root of that anxiety is caused by the failure of our legacy universe to explain how things work in a way that is non-contradictory and satisfying to 21st century people.

This is a situation of fundamental change forcing people to deal with their basic assumptions about how the world works. The endless lists of unsolvable problems and the success of, not very bright, people successfully peddling long failed ‘solutions’ seems to have overwhelmed seventy-five years of progress. Why don’t the solutions we were confident of now hold? How can people be fooled, again, by the last century’s long failed ideas?
