The starting point of this question was a tweet to Dr. Nadeem Yasir, cleric in Chicago belonging to Dar-ul-Uloom, Deoband, UP.

Q : Are temples forcibly converted to mosques valid places for Allah to offer prayers to him?

A: Muslims don’t need a special place to worship like Hindus. We can pray anywhere as long as it’s clean. (You had to answer first.)

Q: For Hindus places are sacred just like the Kabba is. These Mandirs converted to Mosques, are they Islamic / Halal?

A: Islam never allows to demolish a place of worship. It never allows to convert a temple into a Masjid. It’s clear and straightforward.

Q: So what about these Mandirs which have been converted? Done by unislamic practices? Or if proved they are converted Waqf will return?

A: What about that? Islamic stance is clear. I can only speak for Islam, not for Mandir Masjid politics.

Q: Where is the politics? Qutub Minar next to my home was a Jain-Hindu complex. This pic from there. Desecrated sculptures. Turned to mosque.

Who is responsible for this? Converts to Islam from Turkey to Afghanistan. Were they not carrying values of Islam?

What about these illegal mosques? I assume allah would not appreciate being worshipped from desecrated temples of others’ worship places.

A picture i took of one of the pillars of the Qutub Minar complex. Qutub Minar was a Hindu-Jain temple complex desecrated by either Muhammad-bin-Sam (Muhammad Ghori) or his slave governor Qutb-ud-din Aibak, and turned into a Mosque & Madrassa
