The Diamond Hands community is now supported by ZEBEDEE and Mimesis Capital, in addition to the current sponsors consisting of several prominent crypto companies in Japan including bitFlyer blockchain, bitbank, Coinbase Japan, and Kraken Japan.
Through collaboration with our supporters, we are looking to lead and futher push the Lightning Network adoption and development in Asia.
Diamond Hands is the largest Lightning Network community in Japan and has been working with local users and enterprises to promote Lightning Network adoption and contribute to the routing network since June last year.
It also maintains one of larger routing nodes in the market with over 18BTC capacity and 470 channels and is also known for its routing bonus program to encourage more people to run full nodes and participate in routing. We distribute more than 2 million sats every month to qualifying routing nodes based on their participation and routing activness.
The funding from new sponsors will be used to continue the routing bonus program as well as create more educational content to inform the local community and build various experimental projects using Lightning.
On the other hand, Diamond Hands will assist the new sponsors with improving their brand and product awareness in Japan.
