Behind a paywall? Read it here instead.

I get it. A student’s life is hard. One has to survive on pocket money, which is sometimes meagre. One will be bombarded by homework and assignments and what-not.

On top of it, there’ll be this periodical project that comes around in a regular cyclical way, just before you have had time to stand yourself up from the previous one that knocked you down.

We have been there, we have done that.

But this conversation made me do a chuckle. And for one moment, it brought me back to THOSE days of my student life, when I was so desperate for someone, anyone, who would somewhat, by however means, help me complete my project. And also the deadline will be looming up pretty soon too.

Here’s the convo:

The client, a student, asked me for help with a project (details above). Usually, I do not do student projects. The reason is not because I hate students, but because of 2 reasons.

Reason 1:
They can’t pay much. Well, I won’t pretend to be otherwise. I’m in this software development line for the money as well. I have passion too, but that’s a story for another day.
