Which programming languages do software engineers love the most?

According to Hired’s 2022 State of Software Engineers report, Python topped the list, followed by JavaScript, Java, TypeScript, and C#. What are the reasons behind this love? Hired surveyed software engineers about that, too:

Hired analyzed data from 366,000 “interactions” between software engineers and companies on its online marketplace, in addition to surveys with more than 2,000 software-engineering candidates.

It’s no surprise that Python would claim the top spot.
