A highly undesirable social setting in which members are unhappy and afraid. Its most usual characteristics are public mistrust, police state, oppression, media regulation, and the claim of being an utopia worshipping a figurehead or idea, maintained through corporate, bureaucratic, technological, moral, or totalitarian control.
