I was today’s age when I learned that France, not Russia, has the most time zones—twelve to be precise, according to Guinness Records.
Is Russia a joke to you?
Imagine having a vast geographical mass spreading across 11 time zones but still get beaten to first place of ‘country with the most time zone.’

How did this European destination-throb have as many as 12 time zones despite lacking the geographical mass required to pull it off?
Overseas territories!
France has many overseas territories in the Caribbean, Pacific, and Indian Oceans. While metropolitan France has one time zone (UTC+ 1 or UTC+ 2 in summer), its territories give it additional time zones. From Tahiti to Wallis & Futana.
Gotta say, this just tipped France and its territories onto my wish list. If I dig deep enough, I might learn a thing or two about diversifying my investments to reap multiple benefits!
