Did you know…Sharks are older than dinosaurs?
I now know who I’m taking how-to-survive-an-extinction advice from
If the world ever comes to an end, guess who I’ll be getting tips from?
Yes, sharks!
Long before the mighty dinosaurs roamed the earth, sharks were masters of the oceans. These ancient predators have been around for about 450 million years, predating dinosaurs by about 220 million years.
While dinosaurs emerged 230 million years ago, sharks had already survived mass extinctions and evolved into the formidable hunters we know today.
Now I see why they wear that sinister smile that says, “I’m so good at living, you have no idea.” But come to think of it, if I was the apex predator in the ocean from a species that has lived longer than time, I think I would be cool too. LOL.
You want to know what’s even more amazing?
Sharks are even older than the first trees which took root on land about 350 million years ago. Could you imagine that?!
Did you know about this fact before now? What other shark facts do you know? Let’s hang in the comments.
