Shipping early and often isn't the only way to build a product.
While traversing a path that ended with the decision to build Medium, we almost launched a product called My Li’l Standy.
If you blinked you missed it. It came and went so fast that I think this very much counts as a “didn’t ship it” product.
Before starting CentUp, and leaving my full-time job to do so, there was Gis.to.
In early 2007—during “Obvious 1.0”—I was thinking up a lot of product ideas.
