VRKids

Worked from February 2010 to July 2011
Worked from November 2012 to April 2014

My career at Inbrands started at VRKids and it couldn´t be a better way for a young designer fresh out of college to start. As you can see I worked at VRKids in two different moments, in the first I was assisting the leading designer and working as junior designer, and in the second time I ´ve came back as the leading senior designer under a coordinator.

I had the opportunity to learn with one of the best professionals on kidswear, and she would include me in everything regarding the development of the collection, which made my grow as a professional quickly.

I assisted her through the role process. From color charts, to fabric picking, to designing.

I manage 80 different suppliers per collection. Giving total support regarding technical packs, which I was responsible for developing.

My job as an assistant was to manage our calendar, clarify doubts regarding the development with suppliers, manage all fitting tests along our product engineering department, vector all the products in order to produce the tech pack, gave full support to our sourcing team, and manage all sales sample in order for them to arrive in time.

As the Junior designer for VRKids I was in charge of developing the bottom collection.

I focused in getting to know all the fabric suppliers of denim and twill, and I had a direct contact to the suppliers visiting the factories in order to learn as much as I could on site.

The good work I´ve done for VRKids earned me a invitation to became VR leading designer for denim and bottoms. And the transition was easy since VRKids is the juvenile branch of VR.
