Book club #3: “Positioning” by Al Ries and Jack Trout

“The battle for your mind. How to be seen and heard in the overcrowded marketplace.”

Yesterday evening we gathered in our office to discuss the second pick for our company book club, which was Haruki Murakami’s “Kafka on the Shore”. Six people showed up and we had a very lively discussion about the many themes weaved together in the book. It was fairly fascinating and we definitely had a good time. 😊

The next round will be very different, but just as much fun:

Admittedly, you don’t buy this one for its cover typography. It’s the inner beauty that counts!

Up next: “Positioning”

This time we shall read a non-fiction book, which was first published in 1980, but is still taught in universities around the world today and highly regarded by many working in the field: “Positioning—How to be seen and heard in the overcrowded marketplace” by Al Ries and Jack Trout. Even our chief strategist Robert Haase holds it very dear and recommended it many times in the past, so it must be good. 🙃

Save the date: Wednesday December 13th, 7pm in our office at Oranienstraße 6, 10997 Berlin!

We’d be very happy to welcome some of our colleagues, but also participants from other companies, to evaluate what we deem relevant, what might be outdated and which passages we found most eye-opening. Again, drinks are on us and the discussion will be in English or German, depending on who shows up. If you’re on Facebook, it would help us if you expressed your interest here:
