Just another thing people blame for their poor eating habits

What exactly is the thyroid? Many people have probably heard of at least one person who has an issue with their thyroid. The thyroid is a gland that is located at the base of the neck, in front of the throat. It has two lobes making it symmetrical, and appears to look like butterfly wings. This gland measures about two inches on average. This is also part of the reason that an Adam’s apple protrudes out, aside from men’s larynx just growing larger during puberty than most females.

Just like most of the things that are discussed in regard to weight loss, it would be quite foolhardy to throw blame towards one cause over another. Having an issue can surely make things harder in one aspect or another. Can the thyroid alone actually cause someone to become overweight, or even obese? Of course not. That part is going to be up to the individual and whether or not they are willing to adjust their lifestyles according to the obstacles that they must face.
