Since the birth of DigiCol’s idea, the team has been concentrating on the infrastructure and stability of the system. Within 1 week of launch, we are glad that the front end and back end have been functioning seamlessly smooth, and some of the artists have gained popularity and made substantial NFT sales. In this article, we are going to map out our roadmap for the upcoming quarters, unfolding the features and solutions which will help DigiCol reach a wider global audience.
Q2 2021
1. Bidding Feature
Bidding will be live on DigiCol and open for all creators and collectors. We will enable users to trade a non-fungible token at a certain price by placing a bid.
2. DGCL Liquidity Farming
All creators and collectors will be entitled to a certain percentage of DGCL yields once a NFT transaction is successfully processed. We hope that they can share the success of DigiCol.
3. Community Artists Campaign
To encourage inspiring ideas from community artists, we will hold a community artists campaign, nurturing them to become star-studded NFT creators through our aggressive social media promotion.
4. DGCL, USDT Currencies Payment
We will add the DGCL and USDT payment support for NFT trading to make NFT trading more accessible and convenient for everyone.
5. Operational Features
Language Support: We have planned out to add Chinese, Korean, and Japanese language support on DigiCol to attract a larger user base.
Identity Verification: All users will need to verify their identity before they can trade on the platform since they must fulfill the age requirement and are responsible for their activities.
Platform Upgrade: We will perform platform upgrade to downsize or upsize certain front end and back end components so as to maximize the platform functionalities.
2nd Half 2021
1. NFT Collateralized Loans
DigiCol will create a simple marketplace for NFT collateralized loans. For borrowers, they can put their NFT assets up as collateral. Once they repay the loan, the asset will be transferred back to them. For lenders, they can get attractive returns. In worst case, if borrowers do not pay back the total repayment amount before the due date, lenders will at least get the NFT asset.
2. DGCL Token Governance
The native token of DigiCol is DGCL. The ultimate goal is to evolve into a decentralized autonomous organization where DGCL token holders can control the future direction and development of the platform through voting. We aim to achieve this in the end of 2021.
3. Multichain Development
DigiCol will support multichain technology which is also known as cross chain technology. It is an emerging technology that seeks to allow transmission of value and information between different blockchain networks, drastically enhancing interoperability and scalability.
4. Layer 2 Solution Development
DigiCol will support the use of the Layer 2 scaling solution. Layer 2 solutions are meant to help scale applications by handling transactions off the main Ethereum chain, dramatically avoiding the exorbitant gas fee while maintaining the security level as the Ethereum network.
2022
AR & VR
We will eventually infuse the experience of augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) into the creation, minting, and the showcasing of NFT. Creators can create a gallery where they can invite friends and collectors to visit and see their collection of artwork. Collectors can also create and share the joy with others about their distinct collections with the AR & VR experience.
