DATA SCIENCE Team identified the cause of big block in a Lime Kiln with the power of MOSAICO Data Analytics

Starting from May, SIBELCO TEAM observed an anomalous attitude for QualiCal Synthesis_70 lime kiln process condition with the result of a huge block formation during the same month.
Main suspect from our Customer were related to the effectiveness of DOSIGNS SYSTEM accuracy and operation.
Davide Ripamonti data scientist of DIG:ITA made a ANOMALIES DETECTION REPORT on the Solid Fuel Dosing System installed on the lime kiln.
The ANOMALIES DETECTION REPORT purpose is to:
- Detect any ANOMALIES over ASSET Operation through MOSAICO Workspace
- Collect, Monitor and Analyze BIG DATA, through DATA SCIENCE experts, in order to identify where performance are not within the expected range
- Check and resume the ANALYSIS and possible OPTIMIZATION
After a careful analysis of the data, our team discovered that the problem was related to an incorrect setting of the fuel that caused an inefficient dosage.
CONCLUSION
Thanks to our data analysis we have resolved one big operating problem and we have created greater awareness within the management team of our Customer by demonstrating what #IDo can do!
