Nicole Bosatelli — a graduate in Economics and Data Analysis at the University of Bergamo — began a training in the company at DIG:ITA, going beyond the pure theory of studies and entering the merits of real practice. The internship, considered as a training and work orientation tool, is preparatory to the completion of her cycle of studies.
Object of the training
Realize Industrial Assets Operational potential collecting, analyzing and distributing in real time actionable information to gain production efficiency.
Starting from a holistic view of the manufacturing process, Nicole will adopt “Real-Time Manufacturing Analytics” transforming vast amounts of operational data from both old and new machines, people, IoT sensors and environments into actionable information, accessible from trusted followers.
By leveraging cutting-edge technologies and seamless integration with existing information and legacy in-house systems, Nicole will capture shop floor data in a secure way to deliver straightforward insights for improving production efficiency.
Training Activities
The Real-Time Manufacturing Analytics will be based on the following phases on which Nicole shall build her data science knowledge and skill.
CONNECT
Connect factory floor machines and enabling the collection of data from industrial assets and processes as well as management of that data to derive value.
MONITOR
Present focus on helping understand the performance of industrial assets and processes, and visualize what alarm, events are happening
ANALYSE
Determine the root cause of issues based on historical and real-time data so to understand relationships, correlations, and trends, and can effectively troubleshoot problems
PREDICT
Providing foresight into impending problems so to avoid issues before they occur and drive greater process consistency and asset uptime.
All the aggregated data outcome shall be provided easily accessible from one source (app or desktop dashboard) to streamline workflows, boost productivity and break down any silos disrupting your manufacturing excellence.
