The X4LIME Performance and Reliability Team lead a plant operation review including activity summaries, long term issues, configurations in progress and opportunities to improve Customer experience.

What did our team find?

Understanding the distribution of DOWNTIMES that were affecting the monthly operation

Information coming from Industrial assets are recorded through a PLC and collected by a MOSAICO digital workforce that will further monitor and analyze them.

Consequrntly humans experts that can deeply discuss around this information and get valuable outcomes with the goal to optimize the asset performance.

Summary of Production Rate vs Plant Availability

Thanks to Mi-REPORT, an automatic PERFORMANCE REPORT, X4LIME TEAM and SITE TEAM discussed about the plant productivity vs plant availability over the period of interest and the need to deeply understand the distribution of DOWNTIMES that were affecting the monthly operation.

What was the trigger for this analysis?

During a monthly Performance Reliability review held on May 2020, rose the needs to deeply understand which days were more critical in terms of effectiveness of plant operation, in order to figure out were downtimes, planned or unplanned, where making the difference for plant availability.

What was the value to the customer?

Monthly donwtime analysis represented in second and minutes on a daily basis

To reach this goal X4LIME Team decided to represent the cumulative count of Daily Downtimes 🛑 with a dedicated graph as part of the PRC (Performance & Reliability Center) Report.

“This is supporting the monthly discussion that was then specifically oriented to understand what was the root-cause of having the major stop on 15th of May.”

It was so accessible to everybody in the room, that on that date was cumulated 40% of the overall downtime of the month. Indeed on that day a maintenance team was operating on the plant, requesting the control room to stop the plant for his intervention and this was a known fact. But unlikely, at operation restart, in the same day also was clear that other — this time unplanned — stops took place affecting the plant overall production and availability.

“Only observing closely everyday operation doesn’t give the complete outlook of the plant performance, that must be instead seen with a certain temporal scale in order to figure out where and when things have to be improved and better scheduled.”

Edoardo Cella DIG:ITA & X4LIME CDO

“I have realized this analysis to analyze the DOWNTIME on a day-to-day basis and to account for the total amount per day.

This in order to give visibility, as requested by the customer, to all the stops, not only the planned ones that represent a part of the whole!”
