Coinpanion, Foreus, Kiprion, 89ventures and Trever are pushing the blockchain- & cryptoscene in Austria as new members within the DAAA

The Blockchain and Cryptoscene in Austria keeps growing. The Digital Assets Association Austria (DAAA) does the same with various new members joining in the latest months from all kinds of business sectors. That includes cryptomanagers and -traders like Coinpanion or Trever, as well as the newly founded custodian Kiprion and the analytics company Foreus. In addition, there are a lot of new partnerships with other associations like AAIA and AVCO and furthermore with the Science Facility ABC-Research.

„The membership at DAAA is very important for us as a young start-up: We gained access to almost the entire crypto ecosystem in Austria and beyond. In addition to that also the mutual exchange within the DAAA-workgroups is vital for us to keep up to date on the coming changes concerning laws in Austria,” says Stefan Embacher (CEO & Co-founder, Foreus Blockchain Analytics GmbH) about the DAAA.

The bandwidth on different topics, that are being worked on by members of the DAAA, increases with the diversity of the new members. The different purposes and interests of the member companies are essential for the realization of these topics for the DAAA as an independent lobby.

“A growing number of financial institutions plan to offer digital assets and cryptocurrencies to customers within their portfolio and within the current regulatory basis. For exactly this purpose we have developed our Institutional Trading & Management System. Our software combines different trading markets, custodians and currencies in one single user interface and API and is therefor a complete solution for banks, asset manager, fonds manager and commission merchants. Everyday notable clients trust our systems like Bankhaus Scheich, Blocktrade or V-Bank,” notes Hans-Jürgen Griesbacher (CEO & Co-Founder, Trever GmbH)

“By now, there are thousands of investment opportunities on the cryptocurrency market and it is enormously time-consuming to keep track of them all. We enable everyone to participate, even without in-depth knowledge. At Coinpanion, customers don’t have to worry about anything. We accompany the entire process from simple market entry and ongoing optimisation of the crypto investments to automated tax reporting”, explains Alexander Valtingojer (CEO, Coinpanion).

Networking in the cryptomarket & strong partnerships for start-ups.

The DAAA is working hard on continuing this positive trend and established new formats this year for the community to network and meet. For example the „DAAA Meetups “ which are designed for meeting within the Austrian community as well as beyond.

The organization is also happy to welcome 89Ventures AG as a new member. The company, which is based in Liechtenstein, focuses on the structuring of digital assets — with an emphasis on security token. Here a structuring of clubdeals (private equity and private debt) also occurs. Bernhard Thalhammer, Founder and CEO, about the DAAA: “As an Austrian in Liechtenstein I am very glad not only to be a part of the strong network within the DAAA, but also the head of the Meetups in western Austria and the region around Bodensee and contributing to the growing network. The first Meetups in this region have successfully started and we will continue to strengthen the exchange between Austria, Liechtenstein, Switzerland and Germany.”

This exact network of different parts of the markets also makes the DAAA the ideal partner for start-ups and new founders when it comes to innovation, discussion, exchange and cooperation.

“The DAAA is on the one hand a platform to discuss developments in the Digital Asset industry and on the other hand an important voice of the ecosystem. As a crypto custody provider, we offer a secure solution for safekeeping Digital Assets and help our customers focus on their core business and securely take advantage of the technology. We are proud to be a member of the DAAA and believe that working together with other members will further drive the acceptance and use of cryptocurrencies and Digital Assets in Austria.” Jonas Jünger (CEO, Kiprion GmbH) is happy to state.

Austria as a business location

The amount of blockchain- and cryptospecific conferences in the region DACHLI shows once more the importance of this business field for Austria and its importance as a business location. The DAAA does its part by highlighting topics and creating a mindset, that takes the blockchain beyond an investment opportunity in cryptocurrencies. “This year’s DAAA annual conference Jahrestagung 2022 was already the second installment in cooperation with the WKÖ — the Austrian Economic Chambers. We picked up current topics (Stablecoins & CBDC, NFTs and DAOs) and debated with experts from different fields of expertise and countries“, states Paul Pöltner (DAAA President).

„The success of our events also relies heavily on the effort our members put into the association and therefore into Austria’s market. Without this strong base and the readiness to invest time and resources our work and success wouldn’t be possible”, says Holger Greiner (DAAA General Secretary).
