How to set up an effective Instagram Story with more than 3 videos?
There are several videos in Instagram Stories and I’m sure you’ve seen them many times. I mean, the whole video story is divided into short videos.
These ads are more effective for two reasons:
- First, videos get more attention than static images
- Secondly, if the user just skips the first story, he will see second one, third one, and so on.
How to create such effective Stories?
You should configure the Carousel format in Ads Manager. I will not explain particularly how to launch advertising in the article. (I will talk about this in other posts or make a video) I will place great emphasis on the Carousel settings to make interesting stories.
First, let’s prepare for work on the Ads Manager account:
At the Group level, select Instagram Stories in Placements
At the Ads level, select the format — Carousel
The next step is to prepare our video, which will be shown in Stories:
Divide it into 15-second clips, I used the Story Cutter App.
Tap the “Select Video” from your gallery and divide it into small clips using the button “Split Video” and load these short videos into the Ads Manager.
There are up to 10 videos available on Instagram (15 seconds each of them). Unfortunately, Ads Manager does not split the whole video into parts itself and you have to use third-party services like Story Cutter App. This feature may be coming soon.
By the way, the Carousel function is not available for Facebook — only for Instagram at the moment.
The preview will look like the screen above. Do not forget to turn it on. Click on “Expand story”.
Life hack!
Upload the video in a square format and the description will be visible in your Stories
And if you want your ad could be shared by users with their friends, open access in the Instagram account in the settings.
Go to Settings — Check that the account is open and go to the Guide and open access if it is closed so others can share your posts.
