The best summer marketing campaign? Not pineapple, please!
Every year It’s the same. Summer arrives, everybody is out and about and the companies decide to release their innovative marketing campaign to promote summer products.
And every year … It happens the same: pineapples are everywhere. Especially in beauty, fashion, health and tourism marketing campaign. It looks like in this period of the year, the heads of design just loose their creativity. And, I’m sorry to say that, the common sense.
It’s also difficult for me to understand how It’s possible that no one in charge of marketing can lead and check the design team work. Is it really possible that entire creative and strategic departments do not follow trends and develop their campaign without any researches on competitors?
The scenario is the same.
It’s summer, the product is in the middle of two pineapples (that probably wear sunglasses), the background is yellow or orange and voilà the marketing strategy is completed. Wow. What amazing impact!
I’m really disappointed about this completely lack of control by the leads.
Where is the creativity? Where is the brand reputation?
Changing colours. popping a different logo and your own products in the middle of two pineapples is NOT Design and above all is not Marketing.
