Effect of fictional Culture On Readers

I want to study how cultures in fictional stories affects or contradicts the culture of the readers and the decisions the readers take when presented with these contradictions. My focus will be on a manga story — Berserk and a community set up on reddit to share ideas and thoughts about the strong influence of the manga on the readers.
The members of the community posts thoughts , questions or events they are undertaking that has a link to the Manga. The community is full of debate- where the members argue on ideas and actions being promoted in the story and whether it is a good practice or not.
