Game 1: Terra Tam- The World Warrior

url: l.j-factor.com/gmhtml5/Terra-tam/
Designer: Leon Arnott

Goal of the game: Win fight against alien species

Game mechanics: Graphics like retro arcade games of the 90s, move left or right

Controls: left/right arrow

Theme: Fighting

Is this a cyborg game? Yes it is because even though, initially it seems that the goal of the game is to fight other monsters, the player has no control over the outcome of the game. The controls are simply there to give an illusion of control, but the final outcome of the game remains unchanged, even if the character is not moved. Humanity defeats a series of monsters and becomes part of the galactic army, perishes in its first battle. Not also the outcome hoped for, as most games result in the player winning all the way.

Game #2 Swan Hill

Designer: Laura Michet

url: http://lauramichet.com/swanhill.html

Theme: Introspective

Goal: Story Progression- get to the end

Game mechanics: Twine- click on a word to go to next scene, often has pathways to multiple scenes with different story lines

Controls: hyperlink clicking, left mouse button

Is it a cyborg Game? I feel like this a cyborg game. This is my first time playing a twine and it has been a good experience to play such a game. I liked the story progression, the reunion of two brothers, and the portrayal of how there lives are different cause of the lifestyle they have taken. Even though, I do have a say in the outcome, by the choice of different pathways, the game leads to the same information disposal in all of them. The game can be very much envisioned as a cut scene from a much bigger game, with actual actions that can be taken in a more graphic role play scenario. And hence, the game is different from traditional games

Game #3 Breaksout

Designer:Pippin Barr

url: http://www.pippinbarr.com/games/breaksout/

Theme: Contemplative

Goal: Play different variants of the popular Breakout game

Game mechanics: Move the bar at the bottom to reflect a moving ball towards bricks. Retro arcade style

Controls: Left/ Right keys

Is it a cyborg Game? No. This adds a new variety of challenge to the existing game, with the screen distorting, creating a havoc scenario in the gameplay. The game is very much within the bounds of traditional game modding, which have seen the addition of new, creative levels for gamers willing to go the extra mile.

Game #4 Skin Tight Bitch Fight

Designer: Femmezuigiri

url:https://aquavulva.itch.io/skin-tight-bitch-fight

Theme: Wrestling

Goal: Please the crowd through fights

Game mechanics: Choose the action that the female fighters take

Controls: Left mouse button clicking

Is it a cyborg Game? Yes it is. Just when you expect to see female wrestlers fight out in the ring, you realise that all you’ll ever get to see of the fight is just an empty ring and crowd reactions. No display of the quirky, tacky moves by the oddity array of characters in the game. Not at all following what wrestling games follow, even when there is crowd pleasing involved. Even though, it initially seems as if it is sexualising the female body, it takes all of that away by not showing the characters at all, which is never the goal of Diva wrestling by WWE.
