The walking dead is based on a nonfiction story that focuses on zombies and people being able to survive. Once you get bit by a zombie you become one and you are now sentenced to die. The main character of this novel is the governor whose name is Brian Blake. However, in the tv his name is Philip Blake. He has to make sure that he takes care of everyone that lives in the city but he doesn’t want to be accountable for everyone. He is doing everything that is in his power to make sure that everyone survives and that no zombies are around. However, he’s the antagonist on the comic book. He wants people to believe that he’s a good person; however, he is using people to gain power and land. He tortures people and abuses little girls. The intended audience would be people who like action. The tv show the walking dead almost everyone watches it. The audience has a large Spectrum because there is a little bit of everything that everyone enjoys watching it. One value that was portrayed in the comic book is man power. While the guys are outside fighting the zombies, the girls are inside watching over the kids and making sure that there is food on the table. The guys believe that they are not capable of being outside in the real world combating the zombies. This ideology reflects how people in the 1900s use to live. The girls weren’t allowed to work or get an education because they had to accommodate their husband. Women stayed home as Moms. Women were raped and abused in the comic book because men ideology of superiority had to be reflected. The women didn’t have a say in any of the decision that happened throughout the book and they were able to not go outside. In addition, there are racisms in the comic book. Although it’s not directly stated you could make the inference because the only people in this town are white people. This shows that white people are not able to live in an environment full of other races. They are not able to properly cope to all the diversity so they prefer to be segregated from everyone else and just be around people that look like them. Something that wasn’t appealing to me was the ending. So many unanswered questions went unanswered. Writers have the tendency to do this in order to make another comic book and sell it. In addition, there wasn’t any color in the comic book. The color would’ve added more suspense to the story as a whole and made it good. The text overall is good. In the beginning of the book there is action with Rick being attacked by a zombie and he is in the middle of nowhere. The dialogue that occurs is hard to follow because the people are mentioning different ideas that they have and talked for a long time which makes it tedious for the audience to be able to follow. They should cut the text down so it could be more direct and get their point across with the use of less words. Finally, you need background knowledge in order to know what’s going on in this comic book. For the people that don’t watch the show it is hard for them to understand the book. Overall, The Walking Dead comic book is a good book to read.

The pictures that I picked where from the comic book the walking dead.The intended audience for this new book is people who like to read biographies. Biographies are about real stories that occur in the real world. People are real and the message that is portrayed is important and valuable. The message that this remix communicates is the fact that some dads want their sons to portray the same qualities as them. However, some children have different qualities that their parents aren’t happy with. The dads then look down on the kids and want nothing to do with them. They are never able to communicate with their sons. They believe that if their son is not like them then it’s not their kids. However, kids shouldn’t be judged just on being similar to their dads. Everyone is different and everyone should be treated the same. This is what dads think about but not all of them. This is typically for Hispanic families who have families who lived for valued that are in the past. The original comic book allow be to be able to properly manipulate the pictures and being able to make my own comic book using the pictures from comic dead. This is bricolage because I was able to make something and do some edit and put my own spin on it.
