5,000 reasons to like TikTok

In my first few months on the platform, 5,000 total likes, and some posts have gone over 75,000 views.

Social media is polarizing. Very generational. Cliquey even.

Either you like Facebook, or you hate it; either you’re on Twitter or you’re not. Instagram… Well, it seems almost everybody is on it, whether with an active page, a private one, or a spy account. VSCO? It’s for girls. Nextdoor? I know people on it. LinkedIn? Ah, yes, LinkedIn… Isn’t everybody looking for new job? And Tumblr? lol

These are general statements, of course. But there certainly is a bit of truth in them.

So what about TikTok? Most would say (warning, the following are, again, general statements): it’s for teens; or, it’s a Chinese platform. TikTok is certainly another very polarizing platform.
