Following up on my recent post on how many world leaders are on , here’s a look at how the diplomatic community in Washington DC has embraced the platform and how many US embassies around the world are active.

As for previous posts, the following list is not exhaustive and is limited to the US market (foreign embassies and ambassadors in Washington DC, UN missions and representatives in New York, and US embassies around the world). It shows however the role of Medium in the foreign policy and diplomatic community and how different entities are experimenting with the platform, whether it’s for digital campaigns, oped-style posts, long-form and multimedia content.

In blue the embassies or ambassadors in Washington DC that have a presence on Medium.

The number of foreign embassies in the US capital that have established a presence on Medium, whether active or not, is growing tremendously. This has also translated into an increase of articles and features posted, while experimenting on content, including photos, videos, and embeds.
