Hilarious and relatable developer memes you’ll enjoy
Because code, APIs and CSS can be funny… really!
In a recent Rain team meeting, our development team got into some interesting (we think?) debate, which got heated (probably?) but then dissolved into laughter when a wild suggestion was made about a repo or local build or… we’re not totally sure, but everyone was on the same page in the end.
From a professional standpoint, what we loved about the exchange is that our developers are really into what they do, and always want to get it right.
From a slightly less professional standpoint, what we also loved was having an opportunity to look up and share developer memes. 🤪
So, while only a select few brilliant minds are capable of being web developers (they forced us to phrase it that way), anyone who’s worked in digital can definitely relate to these 12 memes.
#1. The role Brad Pitt was born to play
We actually enjoy talking to developers, but they’d probably prefer the rule at times.
#2. A+ work right here
Crossing things out and starting over could actually be its own stage, to be honest.
#3. This is what happens when you get your hopes up
JOKES ASIDE, we do believe in the power of good documentation.
#4. We feel this way about many things, TBH
Meeting notes could be number two on the list. You know when you write “important” and it’s underlined and circled but doesn’t relate back to anything else? Might as well be elvish.
#5. There’s magic in the mystery
Important disclaimer: our developers ALWAYS DEFINITELY know why their code works. 🤓
#6. *Canadian!
We forgive you, Candace. Because we’re good Canadians.
#7. Ruh-roh
We’d prefer to call these types of moments “an opportunity to learn.”
#8. Life on the edge is just so much more fun
This one is too scary to even joke about, so just a shoutout to an extremely perfect execution of one of the most-used memes of all time.
#9. We’re laughing with you, not at you
In fairness, slow and steady does win the race.
#10. When going over to the dark side is required
There have genuinely been moments of tension due to disagreements over light versus dark modes, so consider this meme something of a PSA.
#11. This one cuts deep
The trademark wit of developers is never lost on us.
#12. But it’s all worth it in the end
We’re assuming Marvel is taking notes and soon a Code-Man movie will come out. Brad Pitt and Robert Downey Jr. can battle it out for top billing.
Coding done properly
Fun and memes aside, developers are often the unsung heroes on digital projects, and we truly couldn’t live up to our motto of Digital Done Properly without their efforts and expertise.
