Vietnam is becoming the one-stop travel destination in Southeast Asia. It is also a popular destination for people from nearby countries on their first-ever international trip due to its affordability, from the flight tickets to the accommodations.

Irrespective of the above facts, it's a beautiful country with much to offer, from great food to jaw-dropping views. I recently had the pleasure of visiting Vietnam. In this Vietnam series, I will cover all the mouth-watering places I have visited in Vietnam, including Saigon (also known as Ho Chi Minh City), Da Nang, Hoi An, and Hanoi.

This particular story is all about Saigon.

Cafes in Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City)

1. Bánh Mì Mẹ Ỉn

Address: 36/13 Đ. Lê Thánh Tôn, Phường Bến Thành, Quận 1, Thành phố Hồ Chí Minh 70000, Vietnam

If you are looking for a typical taste of Vietnam, Bánh Mì is a dish not to be missed. This is one of the iconic street foods that is famous all over the world.
When we say mama makes Bánh Mì, you can taste the love in every bite. Every sandwich element is crafted with care and attention to detail, from the perfectly crisp baguette to the tender and juicy meats. The fresh vegetables and herbs add flavour and texture, while the sauces tie everything together with a rich and savoury finish. Whether you're enjoying this sandwich as a quick meal or a special treat, Bánh Mì, made with love by our mama, is a true delight. So sit back, take a bite, and savour the taste of a sandwich made with care and affection.

2. Bếp Mẹ Ỉn

Address: 136 Đ. Lê Thánh Tôn, Phường Bến Thành, Quận 1, Thành phố Hồ Chí Minh 700000, Vietnam

Bep Me In is a Vietnamese restaurant offering family-style food, with street food specialities, classic dishes, and some modern take.
Bep Me In is nestled in an alley steeped in history and culture. From the seemingly inconspicuous entry near Ben Thanh Market, follow the path and be met by a uniquely styled dining experience.

3. Café 4P’S Lý Chính Thắng

Address: 127 Lý Chính Thắng, Võ Thị Sáu, Quận 3, Thành phố Hồ Chí Minh 70000, Vietnam

Although 4Ps is available in a lot of countries now, but this Pizza 4P's is a Vietnam-based Japanese Italian pizza restaurant. It is a place if you are craving pizza with a Vietnamese touch.

4. Little HaNoi Egg Coffee

Address: 119/5 Yersin, Pham Ngu Lao Ward, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

Little HaNoi Egg Coffee started with tea and egg coffee, a traditional Hanoi drink. Many people in Hanoi once could not afford condensed milk and put yolk and sugar in their coffee, creating a beverage now emblematic of Vietnamese coffee culture.

You must try egg coffee in both versions, hot and cold.

5. Café Amazon — My go-to place in Southeast Asia for beverages

Café Amazon is a Thai chain of coffee shops, but it can be found in many Southeast Asian countries. We visited during Christmas time, hence the festival's special drinks.

I hope you enjoyed reading about various cafes in Ho Chi Minh City. Stay tuned for the upcoming stories in the series. Let me know in the comments if you have visited any of these places.

Happy café hopping!
