Krakow lies in the southern part of Poland, close to the border with the Czech Republic. Known for its grand architecture, rich history, and pretzels (yes — pretzels!) the city receives millions of visitors each year, and this number is rising.

Krakow is one of Europe’s best jewels for travellers. Not only was it crowned the world’s first ever UNESCO World Heritage site back in 1978, it also has an abundance of restaurants and coffee shops, a mixture of different types of architecture and a visit there won’t damage your bank balance as badly as many other places in Europe.

With a history that dates back more than a thousand years, Krakow is one of Poland’s oldest and most historically significant cities. It was established in the seventh century and was Poland’s capital from 1038 until 1596, when Warsaw became the new location. Krakow has experienced several historical occurrences over the years, including the Mongol invasion, the Jagiellonian dynasty’s rule, and the Nazi occupation during World War II.
