In the past few decades, with a massively increased reliance on air traffic, low cost airlines have seen a huge uprise of their importance and their numbers across the world.

Considering the European continent, two very famous low cost airlines spring to mind: Ryanair, based in Ireland, and EasyJet, based in the UK.

Both airlines are renowned to be amongst the cheapest in the world, whilst also flying all over Europe, the Middle East and Northern Africa.

But which one of either Ryanair or EasyJet should you rather fly with? Are they both reliable? Who offers the better deal and the better flight experience?

Having personally flown quite regularly with both airlines, I am today going to make an overall comparison of the pros and cons of both to determine which one wins the battle to be named Europe’s best budget airline.

Ryanair

Pros:

The famous Irish budget airline Ryanair is without a shadow of a doubt the airline that offers by far the cheapest fares. In Europe, you’ll sometimes find Ryanair flights starting from 10 or even 5 euros.
