A trip with friends is every person's dream.

I had the same dream for quite a while. We always planned a trip but somehow, because of someone, we had to cancel the trip.

As far as I can remember, we’ve cancelled over 4 plans like this.

But last year, when we cancelled a trip to Digha (a sea beach 100 kilometers away from my home), we made up our minds that no matter what happens next year (2023), we’ll visit the hills even if one friend shows up.

And that is exactly why this year we made the trip happen.

We finally visited Darjeeling, also known as the Queen of Hills in India.

Our journey began on September 11 via train. It was a 12-hour train journey and to be completely honest, I hated that part. I'm not a fan of train rides.

The next morning, around 6 a.m. we arrived there, and the fun part of the journey actually started. Before, it was only about the destination, not the journey.

We took a private cab from the station and we left for Darjeeling. We drove through the mountains and it felt like I'd been upgraded from hell to heaven.
