You can never evaluate anything standing from outside; you have to evaluate yourself first. ~ Aruna Roy (née Jayaram), Indian social activist, professor, union organizer and former civil servant

I’ve always wanted to see the world. Since I was about six years young when I dreamed of growing up to become an airline pilot, I knew I was meant to discover other places. That very long story — you can catch my first Medium article on it here — is summarized in one word:

Travel. Culture. Connection. Growth. Self-love.

Yes, I know what you’re saying, “Lola, you just typed several words.”

Stick by and you’ll have an idea where I’m going. You’ll also understand it takes more than just one word or phrase to describe everything I’ve learned and continue to learn (though these days, I travel mostly locally).

Liberating & Empowering

I often think I got a late start since it wasn’t until I was 27 years young (and a few years after graduating from college), with my passport in hand, I finally boarded a plane for my first solo international destination.
