The influencer that I have chosen is an Instagram model named Paige Lorenze. Lorenze was born on January 26, 1998, in Guildford, Connecticut. (Salas et al.) Posting mostly lifestyle content on her Instagram, Lorenze has over 326 thousand followers on her social media page and over 49 thousand subscribers on her Youtube channel.

Something interesting of Paige Lorenze that she is known for is how she use to be a professional ski racer. With growing up in New England, this does not come as a surprise but the Burke Mountain Academy alum is a retired ski racer, having competed in giant slalom and slalom events between 2015 and 2016 in both Vermont and Maine.

What you might know Paige Lorenze best by was her recent dating history with country mustic star Morgan Wallen. Just before Valentine’s Day of this year, the Lorenze and Wallen made their relationship public. Paige posted on a Instagram story of a photo of the two together with the caption, “I love you! And am so proud of you.” Before going public with their relationship, the couple supposedly had been together for almost a year. (Baver) It seems almost instanting after going Instagram official with their relationship, the two parted ways. Sources from news article website Page Six says that Paige was suspecting that Morgan was cheating on her with multiple people. Due to the post on Instagram, Lorenze started receiving direct messages of other girls admitting they have been with Wallen during the same time of their reltinshiop. (Hautman) Due to this recent relatoniship drama between the popular country start had definitely brought a lot of attention towards Paige Lorenze.

When diving deeper into Paige Lorenze’s life you will learn about her brand named Dairy Girl Summer. The separate Instagram account from her personal is called @dairygirlsummer. This brand consists of clothing items that are designed with logos saying Dairy Girl/Boy or other short sayings relating to the milk industry. On this account, Loreenze shares the reasoning behind her brand. In an Instagram story, it is shared that the story behind her merch is not due to the fact that she prefers whole milk in her coffee. The real meaning behind Dairy Girl Summer is due to the fact that Paige grew up in Vermont. She goes on and says that she spent the most formative years of her life in Vermont, and all over the northernmost part of the east coast. Dairy Girl Summer is a fun catchphrase that she came up with after stopping drinking oat milk and a movement to promote more people to drink whole milk. In a more personal way, the brand reminds Paige Lorenze of driving by seemingly endless fields of dairy cows in Vermont how it is ok to be proud of where you are from even if it is in the middle of nowhere. When viewing people of power, it is important to keep in mind the question why are the stories from this person so good at attracting and holding attention? Comparing someones life story who may be considered just an average person compared to someone like Paige Lorenze, the level attraction between the two will be very different. On a more specific level, how is that sweatshirt branded with the words “Dairy Girl” able to sell more from someone who is considered a influencer compared to someone who is considered just ordinary.

When comes down to how Paige is able to attract and hold attention to so many people is through public relations and trust. Since Paige Lorenze has been getting lots of publicity from dating her most recent boyfriend country singer Morgan Wallen, a big shift of her following is now turned into people who like Morgan Wallen. Wallen is an American country music singer and songwriter who is originally from tennessee. The audience that Wallen attracts are typiaclly people who either relate to his music about a country background or are from a Western culture. These people are more likely to buy a sweatshirt that is branded with the say “Dairy Girl” or “Dairy Boy” in order to support the local farmers. In fact, the following might even be those local dairy farmers.

This relationship can almost be seen as public relations. The book defines public relatinshs as strategic communication process that builds mutually beneficial relationships between organzitions and their publics. Since the fans of Morgan Wallen have similar taste in Paige Lorenze, these fans are more likely to purchase her merch compared to any other person on social media. This new form of marketing enables people to exploit the power of social media, new media, informational media, the blogosphere for profit. (Hobbs 231) Overall, Paige Lorenze had created herself into an influencer on both Instagram and Youtube.
