Sara Revuelta

Sara Revuelta is an influencer on the Instagram platform who specializes in hair care and skin care. She often posts tips and advice on how to care for hair as well as home remedies for the skin and has created her own hashtag which she uses to call her followers: #pelilarga, which in Spanish means ‘long hair.’

I think she communicates her identity by posting her tips and advices on hair care and skin care, giving a long description on each post, both in Spanish and in English, about why the products she uses works for her. She is spreading what is useful for her to others in hopes that the same product can work for them.

In each post, Sara uses her hashtag ‘pelilarga’s,’ which is calling out all her long-haired followers. This does sound a little biased where it seems that she prefers long-haired girls over short-haired girls, but because she has long-hair herself, most of her tips and advice comes from her own experience, so that is the message that she spreads. She often also posts mishaps and struggles with having long hair, which could allow other girls with long-hair to relate. The hashtag she created could be a sense of self-branding.

Sara also often sponsors for clothing brands where she wears their clothes and posts on her page where they are from.

Sara is an open-minded person. She isn’t afraid of posting her story online to have everyone read, from her relationship with her boyfriend to even showing the world how to make a Christmas tree using your own hair and 2 plastic bottles. She is a very goofy and down-to-earth person and you can tell that she is by the videos she posts. You also see different sides of her on her pictures where she is more serious and professional.

I think my keyword, personalization, comes from the content that you post and want others, your followers to see. In Sara’s case, she is personalizing her page by adding hair care, skin care and clothing brand ad posts where her followers are able to view them and save them for a later use. Her content is personalized into only beauty and health, which is what she is targeting to her followers.
