Last week was tough and I was so focused on the production exercise that, unfortunately, I gave up writing this blog. Since no one has responded to the vacancy on LinkedIn, this text is generated by my natural intelligence:

25.04 — Chill And Drill

Drill — “a subgenre of hip hop music that originated in Chicago in the early 2010s. It is sonically similar to the trap music subgenre and lyrically similar to the gangsta rap subgenre. Artists within drill music have been noted for their style of lyricism and association with crime in Chicago” (source: Wikipedia). Chill and Drill is also relevant to the construction work happening right outside of our windows.

Now about the serious things. Remember I mentioned a certain Alex? It’s time to shed some light on him. Alex is a target audience of our final product. Do you think we will manage to bring him to a feminist play?

This guy literally looks like half of my former school classmates, lol. AI generated photo by Zubair Ashraf.

The goal of our team “The Blessed Vulvas” was to get Alex interested in attending the “Revolt. She Said. Revolt Again” play in Freies Werkstatt Theater. I offered to distribute beer for free during the performance.

On April 25, everything went so smoothly, we didn’t know what was waiting for us the next day…

26.04 — Caffeine-Fueled Chaos

On April 25, it seemed to us that our prototype was almost ready. On April 26, after a couple of consultations with our colleagues and mentors, we realized that we needed to redo everything.

In general, I would describe the day in one picture:

At least, there was still one day left before the presentation. Screenshot of a GTA gameplay by author.

27.04 — The Last Dance

A 12-hour marathon until everything works. New content, new design, new ideas for WebXR and our AR magazine prototype is ready.

To be honest, there’s a couple more empty beer bottles behind the scenes. Photo by author.

And yes, split-screen video for presentation, I am proud:

I also want to thank Samar, Zubair and Stefania for the lovely evening at the ifs! Our Last but not least Dance last Thursday was intense, but great! Everything was ready for the Friday presentation in the Auditorium.

28.04 — Presentation Day

On Friday, each team presented the results of their 2-week work. Pussies, vulvas, vaginas —I hope the customer was satisfied. Sounds weird but don’t get it wrong, this was. To make sure of this, just look at what was the first thing I saw when I entered the Auditorium:

Presentations went great! I was so impressed by the public talk skills of my colleagues. Our team demonstrated the idea of men’s AR magazine “The New Entrepreneur” to the public, where augmented reality shows to men a female perspective on regular news and topics. To get to the AR layer, you just need a smartphone with a camera and an Internet connection. The first two rules of the fight club: (1) Scan the QR code and (2) follow the yellow dot! The rest, of course, is magic and a commercial secret.

During the retrospective, colleagues added “amazing catchy humor” to my board of skills, so here I am touring with a new stand-up program. Come and see every Thursday on Schanzenstraße 28:

The Production Exercise 2 has already passed, and April is about to come to an end as well. It means that it is the time to introduce the title of “Employee of the Month” in our company. Here they are! Meet and greet them:

At the end, I just want to thank everyone: Digital Narratives, Freies Werkstatt Theater, my dear groupmates, Maren, Lea, Jimena, all the professors, cooks at Cantina, vendors at the Kiosk, baristas at Van Dyck, my mom and dad, (to be continued…)!

BTW, I found a place for our future office. I have already relocated and am waiting for others:
