Day 6 — Into the thick of it

Morning started with a check in. There was a bit of friction between team members because of differences in vision. But we got it straightened out with a discussion by the fipchart, where we finally all got on the same page about what the experience would look like by actually drawing it. That would be our most rudimentary prototype.

I noticed that compared to the first production exercise, this time we had considerably less time to ideate and crystallise a concept and a “slice of cake” for the prototype. It was obvious when we tried discussing details and realised we all have different ways of imagining them in our minds.

When things got clearer, we discussed our tasks for the day and I added them to Trello. Some of my most important ones were to update the flowchart for the experience, to liaise with the theatre staff, but also content related: I re-read the play and chose the most powerful, weird, intriguing lines that we will include in our experience. Tomorrow we will record our voices.

At 3PM we had a conversation with Maren because we wanted to update her since the idea has grown and changed. She gave us very useful ideas about how to make the call to action stronger so it ties in more closely with the experience itself, which is also what I felt was missing. So I’m very glad we discussed that and now we all finally agree on what we’re actually trying to do.
