TEAM UP!
20.04.2023 | Day 4 | Production Exercise 2
We started the day with reflecting on what we saw and did yesterday when we were at the Freies Werkstatt Theater (FWT), by jotting down impulse thoughts, feelings and key takeaways.
Afterwards, we sketched up quick graphs relating to our mood and experience to get the cogs running. Then we used the same framework to empathize from the audience’s perspective, how they reacted before, during and after the play.
User persona’s were once more analyzed to get a better sense of who it is exactly that the FWT wants to attract, and we got into some passionate discussions. There was some time to write down certain stylistic devices which were used during the play that we found particularly inspiring. I enjoyed this part very much :)
Then, as we are inching closer to the ideation process, we formed random groups of 3 and jotted down some ideas which we could possibly turn into prototypes. The prompt was “Think of quality, not quantity.”
Maren Demant, one of our course instructors, curated a few ideas and put them in a separate space for each of the groups, so that we can analyze further. We used an ‘interaction type framework’ aid for this, to be more efficient and clear on how the interaction would affect the environment.
Last but not least, we had to form our task forces. Incredibly difficult as there were so many criteria to keep in mind while doing so. Maren gently guided us through this and eventually, we ended up with:
- Team 1: Samar, Pavel and Zubair -> handling Alex persona
- Team 2: Stefania, Pratima and Laurien -> handling Marti persona
- Team 3: Danny, Gwamaka and Media -> handling Rike persona
