Digital Design Days is a 3-day event offering exclusive conferences, the second Offf Milano edition, professional workshops, digital showcases & installations, a party, an unmissable experiential Gala DDDinner and many more networking activities.

Where is going to be? In Milano next week! Hurry up for the last tickets!

R: The interviewee is Filippo Spiezia the founder of DDD.

Filippo: I’m an Interaction Designer who has been working abroad for several years, gathering different experiences with international projects with partners like Nike, MOMA, Coca-Cola, Ralph Lauren, Philips, etc.

R: Do you do some ritual every day outside at work while taking breaks with your colleague, Gaming?

Filippo: I really like playing with apps on my smartphone and listening to random music.

R: What do you that allows you to work efficiently being able to find new ideas or to create events like DDD?

Filippo: I have always seen many fantastic events around the world but I’ve never found anything comparable in Italy. But events have always been a source of inspiration, training, networking. Due to that I tried to create the best event that I’d love to attend myself.

R: How did you organize DDD talks by sending a lot of money to the speakers? ;) Just kidding but how did you get their attention?

Filippo: The true relationship that I have with them and the esteem for my work are fundamental. Many conferences pay the speakers, we created an event to which speakers want to participate. We are very proud of it.

R: What thought or tip would you give to yourself in the past?

Filippo: I don’t like to look at the past, but I’d love to start traveling a lot earlier for work, it’s an unbeatable experience and the opportunities are considerably bigger than Italy at the moment. This event is also born with this intent, providing the kids and professionals with the opportunity to raise their skills and broaden horizons without the necessity to go abroad.

R: What would you study now if you would go back to high school time?

Filippo: I’m self-taught. Design talent is needed, but field experience is much more important than any school. There aren’t still many opportunities in Italy to learn the tools of this craft, which, however, is constantly evolving.

R: Can you tell us a small story from an error that you made you understood something really important for your life?

Filippo: I’ve been dragged into a new adventure to chase the dream of working for the most innovative agency in the world that has led me to live in a cool place but far from everyone.

No professional dream will be so important to give up everything else, it it’s always necessary to find a balance between working life and not. It was a life lesson and I learned a lot from that experience.

R: Would like to tell us something more?

Filippo: The most beautiful compliment I heard many times at the last edition was: “Finally! There was no such event.”

We are particularly proud of this, since we have been able to build an event that is able to gather a community with the best professionals in Italy and from around the world, since the first edition, which is the spark to start making new collaborations and work experiences.
