6 easy steps to improve interaction between you and your customers in a big way

Haven’t you sometimes caught yourself wondering why is it that some brands have such an amazing communication with their customers? It seems so natural, almost as if they were friends. And then you ask yourself why is it you don’t possess the same interactive relationship with your customers?

If you were drawn by this title, it is probably because you’ve been struggling to find a way to engage and entertain your customers. We get it, in today’s world it can be very hard to write a good post or to use the right photo. One that will capture the attention of overly stimulated people - let alone get them to engage with it. Nevertheless, we can’t be scared of it and just give up. Our customers need us, we just have to show them why and how.

So don’t worry, no matter if you are a big global brand or a local company looking for a way into your customer’s heart - we have the solution. So let’s dive in!

Here is how you make sure your customers are more active with your content:

  1. Ask Question

Try asking your customers different questions. Make those questions interesting to answer. Think about the motivation that drives your customers and what would make them feel special. Help them in solving a problem, think as if you were one of them.

There is nothing that people like more than talking about themselves. Use it as an advantage. Ask them good questions and let them speak to you. They’ll love it.

2. Provide solutions

After asking them the Q’s give them the A’s. They need to see you are trying to help them in solving any problems they might be having. Show that you are listening to them and actively working on making their lives easier to handle.

People love to be cared about and, yes, asking the questions is a part of the trick. providing solutions however is the key. people are getting lazier and lazier by the minute. That means that they want solutions delivered to them. So take on the role of a deliveryman and make them happy.

3. Reviewing- be brutal

Review your page. What have you been putting out there? Has it been helpful or was it selfish? Were you just promoting your products / services instead of being focused on the customers?

Customers are smart and they can see right through that ‘fake help’. So don’t be fake, genuinely show them that they are cared for. Also, don’t be too hard on yourself if you conclude that you have been selfish in the past. There is always time and place for growth - use it.

4. Be relevant

Once you have reviewed your page you can now change! Start with creating a new communication plan that solely focuses on helping others. Publish content that is relevant for your customers and not the promotion of the brand.

Incorporate what they told you previously. This is that time and place to fulfill their needs. Whatever you put on your page form now on should be in the service of your customers. The goal has to be helping others.

5. Visuals, visual, visual…

Humans are visual creatures which means nothing stimulates and moves them as much as a visual representation. Use photos, use different colors, add videos. Use colors that crash and ones that go together, visually surprise your customers. Shock / surprise is a good way to engage them, have them react to you changing the content, again ask them for their opinion. Ask them for future suggestions. This is a great way of including them in a part of being the brand and spreading its vision.

If you are not really sure how to capture their attention (in this over-saturated world) try to be more creative, look for inspiration with others. You have to be inspired to inspire. And once you inspire your customers, well, there is no one more loyal than a grateful and motivated customer.

6. Be more active!

Finally, if you want your customers to be more active, try being more active yourself, interact with them daily, be there for them. It won’t take long before you start seeing the results pour in.
