A lot of new trends in digital marketing await us in 2020, as more and more people use the internet every year, and the number of people using social networks is also growing. But not only will there be new trends, some of the old trends will return. In my opinion, one of trends that will be major in 2020, at least at the beginning of the year is shoppable posts.

What is that? More than 2 years ago social networks (the first was instagram)included in their posts the possibility that products can be purchased directly via post on instagram, facebook, pinterest and many more. Also on these shoppable posts it is poorly noticed that this such a post at all because this tag on the post looks like a regular tag, only by clicking on the tag it can be seen that it is not really a tag but a sales tag. Shoppable posts make it easier for brands to interact with costumers because now they dont have to search the internet where to buy something we want, we can already find the brand we love and look through their posts on the social network of our choice.

People like this spend a lot of time just browsing through social networks, and with such posts it could be easier to encourage the urge to buy, since every few users see a post with products. It is more likely that if they are constantly looking at products that they are going to buy something, they are more likely to see something they like and that it will encourage them to buy.

Opinions for shoppable

In my opinion instagram is the best social network for shoppable posts since on instagram we can only see posts that contain a picture inside. Even though facebook has more active users, I dont think it would be better because facebook users mostly use to communicate with others and write text posts. According to instagram statistics, the number of active users is somewhere around 1 billion and of those 1 billion users, 90% of users follow a shopping brand. This menas that the sales opportunity is on every corner of instagram, the only problem is to make good use of instagram space for advertising and guessing the right target audience.

Shoppable will be one of the major digital marketing trends in 2020 as it allows users to see their favorite youtuber or actor carrying a product directly from his instagram post, they will no longer have to search the internet for days they finally find that product and will be immediately available to them and will immediately gett all the product information through just one push of a release. There is another reason why this will be one of the biggest trends in 2020, and that is the reason for making money on shoppable posts.

Namely, shopping tag posts are a way to promote a brand and if, for example if someone post a post and put a shopping tag on a product that is not their, and if someone who follows him clicks on that jacket to buy it, He will get a small percentage of the sale of that jacket because he is partly responsible for that sale. Also on instagram via shoppable posts there is a checkout on the same page, informing users the same via instagram when the product will be delivered and other informations about the purchase.

This is obviously a huge opportunity for companies that sell products or services online through the social network platforms. Before posting shoppable posts on instagram, users had only two options to send direct traffic from instagram: with a link in the profile description or on instagram stories, which can be clicked on.
